Week 8 and 9
Thank you to all the parents and caregivers that made the time to come and see Shannon and myself for a parent teacher interview. We are so glad to share in your child's learning and celebrate their successes.
This week we are consolidating work on a few areas that show some gaps in the children's knowledge.
We will be solidifying the learning of conversions in Mathematics and jumping into Area. The children have enjoyed investigating the area of different shapes and we will conclude the term with a mini test on these two things.
Dance Fever will invite all parents to come and watch their children's dance moves on the last week of term. It will be Tuesday the 23 June at the school. The Year 6 group have really enjoyed their Dance Fever lessons and it has shown in their enthusiasm to dance and move their bodies.

Portfolios will be sent home on Wednesday 24 June. Within
the Term 2 portfolio, the Semester 1 report card will be included. This
report is a summary of the results achieved and effort ratings for all
subject areas.
This portfolio will be yours to keep and unlike in Term 1
or Term 3, they do not need to be returned to school after the holidays.
Due to the significant amount of work in each Portfolio, we have decided to
create a new portfolio each Semester. This portfolio will include samples
of work from Religion, English, Mathematics and Integrated Units (History,
Geography, Science, Technology, The Arts etc). Accompanying the samples of
work are the student learning feedback sheets, which the students can
describe what their expected learning was and how they achieved the result
received.

Maths revision and preparation
Hi 6 Greeners,
It has come to that time of the term where we are in revision mode for maths. I have placed a link on this post that has a bunch of revision sheets for the units we have covered in maths this term. I would also recommend that you use your Book 1 as a BIBLE over the next week and if you are needing some extra support with your learning, remember you can always come and see me or Mrs Cullen. WE LOVE TO HELP you be the BEST YOU CAN BE! That's our job!

Week three
It's time to get ready to soar. This week we are consolidating our learning on a few areas we have finished covering in class. Like our first topic in maths - Integers. We will have developed our character for our historical narratives so it's now time to start writing and let our imaginations run free - however, we must remember to stick to the accurate historical facts from that time period.
Here's a snapshot of our week in 6 Green:
Monday:
Maths - Division
Computer Lab - History research time (get your facts straight)
History and English Unit
Start drafting our Narratives (HOW EXCITING)
Send our Library Books to Mrs B
Tuesday: Choir before school
Library - With Mrs Davey (we need to remember to bring in our library books and our pencil cases)
Numeracy Support and Maths - fractions and division structures
Computer Lab - History and English workshop
Maths - continuing on with division structures
Science - wrap up our knowledge on filtration from our experiments
MOTHERS DAY GIFT STALL TODAY IN CULTURAL LITERACY ROOM - GIFTS BETWEEN $1 AND $5
